Arapaho National Forest
We chose to camp and hike in Arapaho National Forest near Winter Park after storms threatened out trip to Mount Massive. This forest area is very popular with mountain bikers thanks to its proximity to Winter Park's trails. The forest roads continue deep into this area and make for some great secluded camping and hiking spots. You can disperse camp anywhere along this road after a certain point.
A patch of tiny wild strawberries.
A handdrawn map for a volunteer built "path" running next to a creek.
We stopped by Dairy King in Empire on the way back for some fresh peach milkshakes.
